Travelling by Car
Approx 430 miles from Calais, or 250 from
Caen. From
both ports the roads are all dual carriageway or motorway except the last 20
miles.
From Calais,
follow the A16/ N28 to Rouen, then pick up the
A28 which bypasses Alencon, At Le Mans take the A11, at Angers the A87, then the A83 until you
reach the Lucon junction. It is 430 miles, all dual carriage or motorway up
to the last 20 miles and can be done fairly easily in 6 hours. (gendarmes permitting!!!!)
From Caen
Head for Rennes, Nantes Lucon., again all
dual carriageway or motorway

Serviced by Ryanair and FlyBe from Dublin, Bristol, Birmingham,

serviced by Ryanair only 75 miles away, flights from Stanstead and East
Midlands and Poitiers
just less than 100. (both of these routes are motorway and fast)
